A positive thought for your day-

You are allowed to grieve for the life you lost through chronic illness. You are also allowed to let that story go, and write yourself a new ending.”

This quote serves as a powerful reminder that while it’s natural to mourn the life we once had, we also have the agency to shape our future. Chronic illness may have altered our path, but it doesn’t define us. We have the power to rewrite our narrative, to embrace a new beginning filled with resilience, strength, and hope. Each step we take towards self-improvement, whether it’s prioritizing our health, nurturing our bodies with nutritious food, or pursuing fitness goals, is a testament to our determination to craft a brighter future. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, for each one signifies progress towards becoming the best version of yourself. Your journey is uniquely yours, and with each new chapter, you’re rewriting your story with courage, resilience, and unwavering determination.

Here is a little background to me. I struggled with my mental health since I was a teenager & then when I was 18yrs old I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia & M.E, my life then was very challenging. I used to do the absolute basics and that's all I could manage at the beginning. I slept a lot. I cooked a simple meal if I had the energy. I didn't really socialise, I couldn't work due to being so poorly. I was in daily pain. The hardest thing about having an illness no one sees is when you "have to" or "arrange to" do somthing, you can put your best outfit on, put a smile on your face, and no one would know as you hide behind your smile. You put so much effort in to coming across as "well". It never feels appropriate at social events when someone asks you.How you are? To then tell them of all your struggles & problems. Have you ever felt that way? Faced similar circumstances? I continued to struggle and I'll tell you in another post how my health continued but I can tell you I definitely grieve for the times I missed or cut short or couldn't do because I was unwell and it's ok to feel sad, and need to cry because you've faced a challenging time, you've missed out on fun times. You didn't get to live the life you wished for, but its also ok to want to put your past behind you and if your better now that's great. I want to hear from you-

Please tell me what challenges have you faced because of illness?

How has your illnesses made you feel?

When did you decide to rewrite your new future?

What did you do to help you achieve your goals? That can be for example - I ate healthy, I did a gym class, I took medication, I took herbs,I rested more, I took hot baths, etc.
